How to Network Better with an NFC Card
Tips for using your NFC business card at events, trade shows, and meetings: when to share it, what to say, and how to follow up with your contacts.
Prepare your profile before the event
Make sure your info, phone number, and links are all up to date. An incomplete profile wastes the opportunity.
Share your card at the right moment
After a good conversation, offer to share your contact info: "Let me send you my info." Tapping the card to a phone takes just a couple of seconds.
Ask for their contact info too
Networking goes both ways. Jot down or save the other person's contact info while the conversation is still fresh.
Follow up within 24 to 48 hours
A quick text or email reminding them what you talked about increases the chances of keeping the relationship going.
Bring a backup
Keep the QR code on your profile or card handy in case the other person's phone doesn't read NFC.
