How to Design an NFC Card That Stands Out
Design tips for NFC business cards: logo, colors, contrast, typography, chip and QR code placement, and mistakes to avoid.
Less Is More
An NFC card doesn't need all your contact details printed on it, because your digital profile already has that covered. Leave room for your logo, your name, and a short tagline.
Contrast and Legibility
Choose colors with strong contrast between text and background. Small text with low contrast is hard to read, especially on dark or matte finishes.
Stay True to Your Brand Identity
Use your company's colors, fonts, and logo. If you're ordering for a team, keep the same template for everyone.
Show Where to Tap the Phone
A small NFC icon helps people know exactly where to tap. If you include a QR code, give it enough size and margin so it scans cleanly.
Finishes: PVC or Metal
PVC supports full-color designs. Metal looks best with understated designs, engraving, and fewer visual elements.
Common Mistakes
Low-resolution logos, text that's too small, too many design elements, and skipping a proof approval before production.
FAQ
